Onboard vehicle intelligence

Understand the machine beneath you.

Auspex observes your vehicle over time, preserves the evidence around a fault, and turns raw diagnostic signals into cautious, useful next steps.

Observe broadly. Reason locally. Transmit selectively.

Auspex begins as a read-only companion for the vehicle: direct OBDLink MX+ diagnostics, a local display, and a tiny on-device model that interprets the signals without inventing certainty.

The first instrument

A persistent mechanical history, not another scan-tool snapshot.

01 / CONTEXT

Remember what came before

Preserve the telemetry surrounding a warning, including voltage, temperature, load, speed, and the conditions that made the fault appear.

02 / EVIDENCE

Separate facts from guesses

Every interpretation distinguishes observed values, known diagnostic criteria, probable causes, and unverified hypotheses.

03 / AGENCY

Recommend the next useful test

Auspex helps the driver and mechanic decide what to inspect before replacing a part—or continuing to drive into a larger problem.

Prototype / S31

Local-first by design.

The first Auspex prototype runs on an ESP32-S31 with its display and Bluetooth Classic connection to the OBDLink MX+. A tiny decision-tree model translates live values into readable states such as normal, high load, low voltage, overheating, or check-engine attention.
